Harold brings his years of knowledge and passion for helping his clients to the table and founded Rood Financial, LLC which embodies two generations of family within our company.  Harold provides his clients’ with the best possible service, attention to detail and caring attitude that builds long lasting relationships.  

Harold also has over 25 years of experience in the public accounting profession. He is a CPA and partner in Winkler & Rood CPAs with significant experience in tax planning and preparation.  Harold was a partner in Kelson, Rood, Stoll & Winkler CPAs from 1989 to 2008. Harold combines his tax compliance and accounting services with his passion for offering personal financial solutions to his clients’ to help them meet their financial goals.

Harold was raised in Union, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting.  After college he moved to California where he began his career as a CPA.  Harold is married to his wife Jody and enjoys reading, sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jennifer Akhlaghi is a Certified Financial Planner™ who partners with her clients' to help them plan for their financial future. She specializes in providing comprehensive financial planning and guidance to individuals, families, and business owners. As a fiduciary, Jennifer is committed to putting her clients’ best interests first, ensuring they receive objective and unbiased advice that is designed to fit their unique needs and life goals.

Jennifer’s knowledge and experience spans across a wide range of financial areas, including comprehensive retirement planning, investment/portfolio management, tax optimization, risk management, estate planning, and college/education funding. She takes a holistic approach to financial planning, understanding how different financial factors are interconnected and how they affect her clients' overall financial health.

Jennifer is passionate about working with women to make confident and smart decisions with their money. She especially finds value in helping her clients' simplify major life events and transitions. Whether receiving an inheritance, getting a big promotion, navigating a divorce, or dealing with the passing of a spouse or loved one, Jennifer provides empathy, financial education, and guidance that is tailored to her clients' needs. In her personal life, Jennifer loves to travel and explore the world with her boyfriend Sacha. She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle, hiking, Pilates, yoga, and the gym. Checking out the newest restaurants in town, and loves music, fashion, beauty and believes in the lifelong journey of growing, experiencing, learning, and adventure!!!

The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® (collectively, the “CFP® marks”) are professional certification marks granted in the United States by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (“CFP® Board”). The CFP® certification is a voluntary certification; no federal or state law or regulation requires financial planners to hold CFP® certification. The CFP® is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients.

To earn the credential, each CFP® candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time personal financial planning experience. In addition, candidates must take the CFP® Certification examination and complete a CFP® -board registered program or hold an accepted designation, degree, or license. Jody joined Rood Financial in 2005 as a client service associate. She works directly with Harold and Jennifer managing client related communications, preparation of account related documents and additional client needs as necessary. Prior to joining Rood Financial, Jody was a teaching assistant at various schools in the San Fernando Valley.

Jody enjoys reading, listening to music, getting together with family and friends and traveling.
